Waxing the City Studio Manager (Part-Time)

Job Overview:

As the Studio Manager at Waxing the City, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day operations, leading a team of Cerologists® (waxing technicians), and driving the studio's success. Your responsibilities will be primarily in the execution of management tasks and, as needed, providing support on the studio floor, ensuring smooth operations and a top-tier client experience. You will report directly to the Owner.

Responsibilities:

Lead, train, and motivate a team of estheticians.
Manage daily studio operations and maintain cleanliness to our very high standards making certain the studio is in compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Ensure exceptional customer service, handling client inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
Optimize productivity and drive retail sales to meet financial targets.
Continuously maintain and strengthen our culture and team spirit.
Work closely with the Owner and operations team to meet business goals and uphold studio standards.
With the support of your management team, we expect you to conduct performance reviews, coaching, and aid in staff development.
Contribute to the studio’s social media presence and manage community outreach to promote the studio and engage clients, as well as implement marketing/promotional strategies to attract and retain clients.

Requirements:

Oregon Esthetician or Cosmetology license required.
Significant experience in the beauty/salon industry and at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Experience in social media and community outreach is a plus as we continue to build our community brand awareness.
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Passion for the beauty industry, and waxing in particular, with a commitment to providing a superior client experience.
