Waxing is a fast-growing specialty with strong career potential. At Waxing the City, you’ll work in a clean, professional, and guest-focused environment where quality and consistency matter.
We’re looking for detail-oriented professionals who take pride in their work, uphold high standards, and bring positive energy to a performance-driven team.
Previous waxing experience is welcomed but not required. All team members complete comprehensive training.
SUMMARY
The Waxing Specialist plays a key role in delivering high-quality waxing services, supporting daily studio operations, and representing the Waxing the City brand with professionalism in the studio and community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every guest, from first visit through ongoing care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional studio environment at all times.
- Deliver efficient, high-quality waxing and skincare services in accordance with established standards.
- Represent the Waxing the City brand with professionalism in the studio and at local community events.
- Participate in studio marketing efforts, including social media photos, videos, or testimonials.
- Support a positive team culture built on teamwork, respect, and accountability.
- Engage in ongoing training and learning to continue growing in your role.
- Assist with additional tasks as needed to support the team.
- Follow all safety and sanitation standards and report any unsafe conditions promptly.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current state licensure (Esthetician/Cosmetologist)
- Passion for waxing and the beauty industry
- Genuine and friendly demeanor
- Ownership and attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Flexible and adaptable individual who embraces being a part of a team
- Exceptional customer service
- Self-motivated
- Comfortable being on camera and representing the brand online and at community events
- Must be willing to wax ALL genders. If not, do not apply.
- Flexible schedule, must be willing to work weekends.
