WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT HIRING FOR THIS POSITION. 
 

SCHEDULE
This is a Tuesday through Saturday set schedule and does not change nor is it open to negotiate change. If you cannot commit to this schedule for the foreseeable future, then this is not the job for you and that is OK. 
 
PAY
Base hourly pay + Commission + Tips
 
Commission is paid for each:
Service
Product sold
Membership sold
 
That means you are paid hourly + opportunity for THREE types of commission + tips.
 
WE WAX VAGINA & PENIS 
All applicants must agree to wax all bodies & genders including the anatomy of a Vagina and Penis. Only applicants who agree to this requirement will be considered-NO EXCEPTIONS ARE MADE.

  • It is a requirement of the position not only to perform Brazilian waxing services on Vagina’s and Penis’, but it’s also a responsibility of the position to teach these services according to our mapping techniques (no outside mapping allowed). If you do not know how we will teach you.

THE VIBE
You must be kind, patient, compassionate, and especially receptive to constructive criticism. Where is this constructive criticism coming from? The people you are training of course!
 
We do not want a ‘know-it-all’ or ‘Fake it, till you make it’ person in this position. 
You are going to be asked questions daily from Estheticians wanting knowledge, from clients wanting education, and from Leadership wanting explanation.  If you do not have answers then it is a part of the job to find them, study them, and teach them back which means most answers cannot be given right away. 
 
What we are looking for above all is a person who is Genuine.

  • Keep your cool in front of staff when you are speaking with an upset customer or employee because you are setting an example.
  • Adapt to our way of waxing. You will need to adjust your technique to our mapping without hesitation and teach it because no outside mapping is allowed
  • Always keep a professional demeanor with staff and never play favorites because it is your job to help ALL the Estheticians on staff be their best. 
  • Respect and acknowledge that Leadership gives you the tools you need to be successful, and it takes time to gain mastery of every tool at your disposal. 
  • Have propriety. We are in the salon industry and gossip from a member of Leadership will not be tolerated by the team. 
  • Be outgoing like the Queen you are. We are looking for someone who will actively speak and engage with the staff every day in a calm, cool, and collaborative way. Leave the energy drink vibe at the door.
  • Motivate your team. This is constant and will encapsulate every moment of your day. You must be ready to be creative to engage the team to be their best. 
  • Be our barometer. You will be the person who knows how to comfort and create a better atmosphere for the Estheticians because waxing naked people all day is hard and sometimes levity is needed. 
  • Be Patient. Everyone learns at different paces. We are not in the business of receiving recommendations to terminate people because they are not fast enough-That is not our philosophy. 
  • Be Selfless. Make sure your team’s books are filled before yours. Leaving envy at the door is a sign of a great leader.  
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reports directly to Leadership. 
  • Key holder: May be closing and/or opening the studio.
  • Performing all services & sales with clients when not training.
  • SERVING ALL BODIES AND GENDERS (This is not negotiable).
  • Training/Proctoring all Estheticians in services, sales, and customer service including continued training, education, and corrective training.
  • Attending brand training, learning it, and teaching it back to all staff.
  • Mentoring/Coaching Esthetics employees on services and sales. 
  • Performing corrective services to ensure guest satisfaction when complaints of service quality arise. 
  • Assisting leadership in the creation of training tools for all Esthetic employees (One sheets, videos, etc.)
  • Conducting one on one meetings with Esthetic employees.
  • Reporting on employee progress to Leadership and making recommendations.
  • Follow safety and sanitation standards in accordance with the State of Washington (WAC 308-20-110).
  • Training all employees in proper sanitation as well as auditing studio cleanliness.
  • Conduct store inventory and dispense.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • This position requires standing for long periods of time.
  • Occasional required lifting up to 25lbs.
  • Walking and moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
  • Use hand, finger, and wrist movements frequently.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current Washington State licensure (Esthetician, Cosmetologist).
  • 18+ consecutive months of experience working as an Esthetician with 12+ months performing full body waxing services.
  • It is a requirement of the position not only to perform Brazilian waxing services on Vagina’s and Penis’, but it’s also a responsibility of the position to teach these services. If you do not know how we will teach you. 
  • Drug Screens are not conducted to get this job!
  • Background check will be conducted.
 
INTERVIEW PROCESS
  • You will have a phone interview. Upon completion of the phone interview, you will be informed if you make it to the next step.
  • The next step is a practical interview, which will be required with both hard and soft wax.
  • During the practical you must complete a Brazilian (V) between 20-30 minutes with hard wax; And demonstrate knowledge of soft wax on an arm or leg.  
  • Upon completing the practical interview, you will be informed by phone or email if you will proceed to the next steps of the interview process. 
We will not consider those who finish a Brazilian (V) in under 20 minutes or over 30 minutes. We are not a speed wax studio nor are we slow. Our studio offers an experience at every service, and we need to know that our Trainer can adhere to our core philosophies specifically letting go of the mapping they know and adopt 100% of our mapping techniques. 
Compensation: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
