We are currently fully staffed and have this posting open for Estheticians seeking future openings with Waxing The City in Vancouver, WA.
We are a Body Waxing & Skin Care services studio. We are consistently growing and will be adding new positions throughout our second year.
SCHEDULES
Will be open 7 days a week starting May 2024! Exciting times!

- Tuesdays-Fridays 10:00 AM-4:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM-6:00 PM
- Tuesdays-Fridays 12:30 PM – 7:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Mondays 11:00 AM-4:00 PM, Tuesdays-Thursdays 11:00 AM -5:00 PM
- Fridays-Saturdays 9:00 AM -1:00 PM, Sunday's 10:00 AM-2:00 PM Mondays 9:00 AM-4:00 PM
Schedules are typically set and do not change so you can have a better work life balance.
PAY
Base hourly pay + Commission + Tips

Current pay structure
- Base: $16.50 per hour
Commission
Commission structure is introduced after hire depending on experience.

- Paid bi-weekly
- Grows with performance

- Paid for each membership/service package sold
That means you are paid hourly + opportunity for THREE types of commission + tips.
Examples on how much you can get paid per hour with base pay, commission, and tips at Waxing The City is as follows:
- Low: $21-$23 per hour
- Mid: $24-$27 per hour
- High: $28-$30+ per hour
For those Esthetician’s who only get paid in percentages that do not include a base pay (or possibly do)– We are paying consistently OVER 30% per paycheck with base+commission+tips- CONSISTENTLY.

Our friends and allies in the LGBTQIA+ appreciate being accepted and acknowledged for who they identify as and sometimes it takes time for someone’s anatomy to catch up to the beautiful transition they are in.
Not all men with the anatomy of a penis are bad people, they have families, girlfriends, wives/husbands, kids, and want the same clean feeling a person with a vagina has after a Brazilian.
Our plus sized beauties need a safe space to feel comfortable, confident, and equal. The owner of Waxing The City is a plus sized Cis gender woman and has a huge heart (no pun intended) for people of all sizes.
AND Waxing The City accepts all types of Estheticians as employees. Specifically, if you have never waxed before. We train everyone and make sure during their employment they will gain valuable knowledge they can use throughout their career anywhere they go.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports directly to studio Manager and Leadership
- SERVING ALL BODIES AND GENDERS (This is not negotiable)
- Ability to sell products and membership/services packages.
- Follow safety and sanitation standards in accordance with the State of Washington (WAC 308-20-110)
- Accountable for efficient, effective, and high-quality service delivery following all defined waxing and skin service standards:
- Waxing all bodies and genders
- Skin Revelation (Vajacials, Body extractions, Body detox treatments)
- Brow Lamination
- Lash Lift
- Brow Tint
- Lash Tint
- Responsible for implementation of customer service standards for all internal and external clients
- Other administrative duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires standing for long periods of time
- Occasional required lifting up to 20lbs
- Walking and moving about on foot to accomplish tasks
- Use hand, finger, and wrist movements frequently
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Washington State licensure (Esthetician, Cosmetologist)
- Drug Screens are not conducted to get this job!
- Background check will be conducted
